Since I haven’t done too many k-pop related unboxings lately, I figured out it’s about time I started doing them more often. I have been adding merch to my collection over the past months, but I never seem to get a chance to take pictures or record a video when opening the package.
I usually get really excited when I pick up the packages from the Post Office and open them as soon as I get in the car or as I ride the bus on my way home. I like to make sure that they are safe and sound, but I also check for photo cards and other stuff that the seller might gift with the merch I bought.
The people from KTOWN4U almost always send cute stuff along with my orders, as last time they sent me some really cute BTS stickers.
I will tell you more about my favorite places to shop for k-pop albums and merch in another post, I promise.
There are a lot of stores out there, but I tend to stick to the few that have proven to be trustworthy, to offer a good shipping rate and to ship really fast.
Speaking of BTS, right now I am going to show you the day version of their latest album, Forever Young.
I got it from KPOPTOWN, back when it was on pre-sale, so I went with my instinct when I picked this version. I felt like the day version would be better than the night one, and I am happy I made that decision.
Don’t get me wrong, both versions are good, but in my opinion this one is way cuter and has a happy vibe to it. Should I have to pick after seeing both versions, I would still go for the day one.
I honestly think that all the boys in BTS could be models, since all the pictures in the photo book make it seem like it’s so easy for them to look this good and to pose. I can’t say that there is a single picture that I don’t like, but I have some that I just love. Mostly the ones that you get to see in this post, but all of them are pretty dope.
I cannot pick a favorite member for this photo shoot, as I think that all of them did an awesome job.
I do however feel like the maknae line does stand out a little bit, but I might just be a little biased by Taehyung, Jungkook and Jimin.
As you might notice by the end of this post, the photo card I got is a Rap Monster one. I was rooting for the group photo, but I am ok with whatever I get. I also got a J-Hope photo card, and it seems only fair to at least mention that, as I didn’t take a picture of it.
Since this album is kind of a repackaging and it has mostly older songs, it’s a good chance to get the best of BTS in one single merch. The best of 2015 and 2016 that is, let’s not forget the eras before ‘The Most Beautiful Moment In Life’, even if this era is my favorite until now.
Besides I Need U, Run or Butterfly, this repackaged version comes with three new songs that slowly made their way to my heart and I’ve been having on repeat all day long. I’m talking about Silver Spoon, FIRE and Save me, but I have to say that Save me is my number one favorite.
There is also EPILOGUE: Forever Young, a song that is so short, yet manages to make me get all kinds of feels and makes me shed a tear now and then. Probably because it makes me think about the fact that someday BTS might not be BTS anymore and that makes me sad.
I am pretty sure they still have a long way to go until that’s going to happen, but I still don’t like to think about it too much.
But enough with the sadness, let’s just enjoy the pretty side of the story and check out the prettiest photos from the photo book. I almost took a picture of every single one of them, but I tried to pick some of my favorites to show to you. I like to think of BTS as if they are forever young, and that is something that their music might achieve.
Did you get any version of this album?
Which one do you like best?
